Interporto Padova, the seller of the assets, will retain a 30% stake in the new entity. The final step is securing approval from local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The intermodal facility in Padua is strategically important for logistics across northern Italy and beyond. In a recent report, it ranked sixth among inland intermodal terminals in Europe and second in Italy, behind Verona. Its location provides vital connections to major Italian ports, including Genoa, Trieste, Livorno and Gioia Tauro.
