With the Harcourt<\/a> fires now moving away from the toenship it can now be revealed some of the damaged caused by the fires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In these photos burnt and collapsed railway sleepers and perhaps bridge decking from the Victoria Road Railway Bridge in the township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state of the bridge is not known and crews will be required to assess the damage and undertake repairs probably taking days as V\/Line are not the fastest to get lines reopened. Some years ago the Bairnsdale Line was closed for months on end due to V\/Line not having a rail grinder for rail maintence, incredible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has also been reported V\/Line are running a test train between Bendigo<\/a> and Echuca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
