The private steaming of new-build GWR 4-6-0 No. 6800 Betton Grange<\/em>, due to have taken place at Tyseley Locomotive Works on Saturday, January 13, has been postponed.<\/strong><\/p>\n A statement from the board of 6880 Betton Grange Society Ltd\u00a0to its members said: \u201cFollowing a detailed review of the works required to complete No. 6880 Betton Grange<\/em> for the proposed members\u2019 launch, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone this event.<\/p>\n \u201cA full study this week of all tasks requiring completion before next Saturday showed that there wasn\u2019t enough time to guarantee completion and allow time for initial testing. We appreciate this will come as a great disappointment to you all and cause inconvenience and upset with the personal arrangements made to attend the event.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will announce the revised date once the locomotive has been successfully tested at Tyseley Locomotive Works.
