Avanti West Coast<\/a> has extended its innovative and award winning (1) Superfare ticket to more routes to mark the popular low cost fare\u2019s first anniversary.<\/p>\n

Ten more journey opportunities in the West Midlands and Lake District have been added to the train operator\u2019s wide range of Superfare tickets. It has seen over 50,000 customers snap up bargains on the Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester, Preston and Glasgow routes, with many opting for rail over other forms of transport as a result.<\/p>\n

The Superfare ticket enables customers to book a journey for a specific date with the choice of morning, afternoon, or evening slots at a cheaper fare \u2013 with the exact time of travel being selected by the intercity operator.<\/p>\n

With around 24 hours\u2019 notice prior to the day of travel, Avanti West Coast will match customers to an empty seat on a quieter train and advise them of their reservation details and train\u2019s departure time.<\/p>\n

From today, customers from Rugby, Coventry, Nuneaton, Birmingham International and Wolverhampton can travel to London for just \u00a39.<\/p>\n

Customers wanting to enjoy the delights of the Lake District can also take advantage of new Superfare tickets from London to Oxenholme (\u00a326), Penrith (\u00a326) and Carlisle (\u00a328). Passengers travelling between Milton Keynes and Manchester (\u00a318) and Preston and Glasgow (\u00a312) now also have the choice of a Superfare ticket. Existing Superfare prices have been frozen and not seen any increase since launch.<\/p>\n

Of those Superfare customers surveyed, the majority said they would have not travelled or would have done so by a different mode, confirming how Superfare is attracting people to rail.<\/p>\n

Each week thousands of Superfare tickets are made available and from 1 May 2024, will be available to purchase much earlier, with bookings possible from eight weeks before travel to allow customers to plan even further ahead. Bookings must still be made at least seven days before travel.<\/p>\n
