official transition to operating as Inland Rail Pty Ltd, a subsidiary company of the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC).<\/strong><span id=\"more-116118\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The creation of Inland Rail Pty Ltd as an ARTC subsidiary follows the creation of a new and fully independent board of directors for Inland Rail, led by Chair, Robert Rust, and the appointment of Nick Miller as new Chief Executive Officer of Inland Rail, last year.<\/p>\n<p>These organisational changes are in line with the Australian Government response to the recommendations of the independent review of Inland Rail, released in April 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Inland Rail has also recently completed the finalisation of its new Executive Leadership Team that will provide the organisational structure that supports its focussed development and delivery schedule.<\/p>\n<p>This also comes off the back of the announcement of John Holland who is set to take on the next stage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/john-holland-to-start-next-stage-of-inland-rail-works\/\">Inland Rail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Known as the<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/\">\u00a0Beveridge to Albury \u2013 Tranche 2 section<\/a>, John Holland will start site investigations and progress design work at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/north-east-victoria\/#benalla\">Benalla<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/north-east-victoria\/#anderson-st\">Euroa<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/mitchell-shire\/#broadford-wandong-bridge\">Wandong<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/mitchell-shire\/#hume-freeway\">Hume Freeway, Tallarook, Hume Freeway, Seymour<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/regions\/mitchell-shire\/#hamilton-street-bridge\">three sites in Broadford<\/a>\u00a0on the existing North East rail line to allow for the safe passage of double-stacked freight trains.<\/p>\n<p>Activities will include geotechnical investigations, ground water monitoring and additional surveys, as well as development of key management plans.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/inland-rail-on-track-for-strong-progress-in-2024\/\">Inland Rai<\/a>l\u2019s appointment of a construction partner for the remaining Victorian sites is on schedule for mid-2024, with major construction commencing in early-2025 and project completion in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a
