{"id":32634,"date":"2024-05-01T05:37:30","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T19:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=32634"},"modified":"2024-05-01T05:37:30","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T19:37:30","slug":"c2cs-award-winning-357-trains-clock-up-150-million-miles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=32634","title":{"rendered":"c2c\u2019s award-winning 357 trains clock up 150 million miles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.c2c-online.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">c2c<\/a> fleet of 357 \u2018Electrostar\u2019 trains have recently completed an incredible 150 million service miles \u2013 that\u2019s an average of 2 million miles per unit and roughly equates to a trip from Earth to Mars.<\/p>\n<p>357 trains were introduced to the c2c line in the early 2000s, replacing the \u2018slam-door\u2019 trains which had served the route with British Rail for many years beforehand.<\/p>\n<p>One million miles (on average per unit) were passed in 2013, and the combined fleet total of 100 million was achieved in 2017.
