Today, it is part of the consolidated United Aircraft Corporation (which includes Iylushin, Irkut, Sukhoi, Tupolev, and Yakovlev). While the Soviet Air Force relied heavily on MiG, the backbone of the successor <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/russian-air-force\/\">Russian Air Force<\/a> is dominated by <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/sukhoi\/\">Sukhois<\/a> (particularly the Su-27 Flanker family).
