That is not enough, according to the Gda\u0144sk port. An expansion of the accessways is therefore a long-standing wish of its CEO, Dorota Py\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>She points out that the existing network has already become a limiting factor in the growth of the port. Image: \u00a9 PKP PLK<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Economically vital<\/h2>\n<p>Deepwater facilities such as Naftoport, Gaspol and Port P\u00f3\u0142nocny, all crucial to the energy supply of Poland. The Baltic Hub terminal constitutes \u201ca strategic pillar of Poland&#8217;s economic and logistical development\u201d, says PKP PLK.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The key role of seaports in the development of the Polish economy is undeniable\u201d, commented Arkadiusz Marchewka, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Infrastructure. \u201cTo make them more competitive, we need to plan further investments now, including those related to improving rail capacity. Therefore, the agreement between PKP PLK and the Port of Gda\u0144sk Authority is all the more gratifying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PKP PLK and the Gda\u0144sk port will first develop a feasibility study, which should be completed in 2027. That will be followed by design documentation in 2028.
