The leader of the federal Coalition\u2019s other party, the Nationals, is now speaking following Ley\u2019s press conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
David Littleproud commended Ley\u2019s Liberals for showing \u201cleadership\u201d in abandoning net zero emissions by 2050 as a policy platform, after the Nationals did this themselves earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said his party would work constructively with the party to come to a unified policy platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Nationals came up with a cheaper, better, fairer plan than Labor\u2019s $9 trillion net zero plan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd today, what we\u2019ve heard from the Liberal Party gives us great hope that in the coming days that we\u2019ll sit down constructively with them to work through the pathway that they\u2019ve articulated that in many ways mirrors what the National Party was able to articulate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
