Last week, the FAA took the unprecedented step to request all major carriers to <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/faa-slash-flight-capacity-40-high-volume-airports-government-shutdown\/\" >shave 10%<\/a> of their scheduled operations at 40 of the busiest airports around the country.
