TransPennine Express (TPE) has unveiled new facilities at its Liverpool depot following a \u00a3580,000 investment.<\/p>\n

The move sees the train operator more than double its workspace and provide improved facilities for up to 150 staff.<\/p>\n

The new space includes meeting rooms, a dedicated occupational health room, a traincrew gym, 16 hot desks, and a driver training room featuring \u2018drawable walls\u2019 to support interactive learning.<\/p>\n

The project was delivered with locally based contractors including Consortia, Vextrix and AHR Architects. Working with local suppliers to ensure the investment directly benefits businesses across Liverpool and the wider city region.<\/p>\n

As part of the upgrade, TPE will also share the space with Hitachi \u2013 its train provider for links to Yorkshire and the North East further strengthening operational links between the two organisations.<\/p>\n

Visitors to the official depot opening included Councillor Liam Robinson.<\/p>\n

The Liverpool depot opening forms part of TPE\u2019s wider programme of investment in staff facilities, following new depot openings in Glasgow and Newcastle earlier this year.<\/p>\n
