East West Railway Company (EWR Co.) is delighted to announce the appointment of Jonathan Clear as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective January.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Jonathan joins EWR Co. from Building Digital UK (BDUK), where he currently leads the Finance and Operations functions. <\/p>\n

He joined BDUK in June 2023, bringing a wealth of leadership experience from across several government departments, including the Department for Work and Pensions, and the Department for Education where he served as Finance Director and was a member of both the Departmental Board and Executive. He is also a non-executive board member of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation. <\/p>\n

Taking over from interim Finance Director Ian Davis, Jonathan will play a key role in steering EWR Co. through the next phase of the project as it moves towards a Development Consent Order (DCO).  <\/p>\n

Ian Davis will continue in his role as interim Finance Director until Jonathan\u2019s arrival, ensuring a smooth transition. <\/p>\n

Sam Turner was EWR Co\u2019s previous full-time CFO who is now Group Finance Director at Network Rail. She was on secondment from Network Rail and has now returned there as Group Finance Director. <\/p>\n
