Will this new link start \u201ca new era of shipping\u201d, as the port put it, or will it just turn into a seasonal connection?<\/strong><br \/>\n<span id=\"more-66842\"><\/span>The vessel, called Istanbul Bridge, left the Chinese port of Qingdao and reached Felixstowe, England, after 18 days. On Tuesday, it arrived in Gda\u0144sk, for a total journey of 28 days. \u201cThis is a much shorter route than the traditional route through the Suez Canal, which takes about 40 days\u201d, the port added.<\/p>\n<div style=\"border: 2px solid #0a4e7f; padding: 15px 20px 20px 20px; border-radius: 10px; background-color: #e7f1f8; margin: 20px 0;\">\n<p>The future of this route is closely tied to <strong>climate change<\/strong>, as running ships across the Arctic Sea is only possible due the ice melting.
