The Tbilisi Dry Port, in Georgia, opened only six months ago but it is already attracting big players. Medlog, the logistics arm of shipping giant MSC, has launched a new rail freight service between the new facility and the ports of Poti and Batumi, both on the Black Sea.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The new initiative will serve the container market. Rail transport of containers along the Middle Corridor has been on the rise over the past couple of years, and interest remains high. For example, other than Medlog\u2019s new service, Georgia and Azerbaijan recently agreed on the launch of a link between the Caspian and the Black Seas.<\/p>\n
