Russian attacks on Ukraine continue to wreak havoc, with disruptive consequences on Kyiv\u2019s logistics infrastructure. \u201cCurrently, several ports are not accepting trains; they are dispersed across the network and will depart when ready\u201d, said Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The latest attacks perpetrated by the Russian army focussed on the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, north of the country, affecting rail traffic for both passengers and freight. In the Chernihiv, a traction substation was hit and then hit again once workers were carrying out repairs. All workers were safely evacuated and traffic could partially continue thanks to reserve diesel locomotives, Kuleba said on Telegram.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the port of Odesa, on the Black Sea, was also attacked last night, the Odesa Regional Military Administration (OBA) stated. Kuleba underlined on Telegram how Russia keeps targeting logistics infrastructure, including railways and rolling stock. \u201cMost of the aerial targets were destroyed by air defense forces, but there were hits causing damage to civilian port infrastructure\u201d, OBA specified. It is not clear if the of Odesa is among those no longer accepting trains.<\/p>\n
