{"id":30068,"date":"2024-03-07T15:39:36","date_gmt":"2024-03-07T05:39:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infrastructuremagazine.com.au\/?p=51513"},"modified":"2024-03-07T15:39:36","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T05:39:36","slug":"sa-north-south-corridor-project-open-for-community-feedback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=30068","title":{"rendered":"SA North-South Corridor project open for community feedback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Federal Government has called on South Australians to have their say on the new report on the North-South Corridor \u2013 River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project, to help identify how the project can deliver lasting improvements to the community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project assessment report (PAR) for the $15.4 billion T2D project details the extensive technical investigations, assessments and planning work undertaken to date, and the potential impacts and opportunities during construction and ongoing operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The work undertaken as part of the PAR has been critical in gaining a detailed understanding of the project area and will be used to inform project decisions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A wide range of topics were considered, including social elements, land use planning and zoning, surface water, impacts on businesses, traffic and transport conditions, noise and vibration, air quality, sustainability, potential site contamination, health, landscape and visual amenity, geology and groundwater, ecology, and Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A comprehensive face-to-face engagement campaign with the community and stakeholders will be undertaken over five weeks to help broaden their understanding of the project, and gain any local insights which were not included in the PAR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Community members will have opportunities to share their insights at pop-up information stalls at the following locations:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kurralta Central, 153 Anzac Highway, Kurralta Park<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday, 7 March, 3pm to 8pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday, 8 March, 10am to 3pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday, 9 March, 9am to 1pm<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brickworks Marketplace, 38 South Road, Torrensville<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday, 13 March, 10am to 3pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday, 14 March, 3pm to 8pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday, 15 March, 10am to 3pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday, 16 March, 9am to 1pm<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Castle Plaza Shopping Centre, 992 South Rd, Edwardstown<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday, 13 March, 10am to 3pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday, 14 March, 3pm to 8pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday, 15 March, 10am to 3pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday, 16 March, 9am to 1pm<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PAR information sessions will also be held at the new T2D Community Information Centre at 290 South Road, Hilton on the following dates:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday, 21 March, 5pm to 7pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday, 23 March, 10am to 12pm<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday, 26 March, 10am to 12pm.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project assessments, along with community insights already gathered through previous community consultation, have been provided to prospective contractors as part of the tender process.
