TransPennine Express (TPE)<\/a> is seeking talented people to join its 1,800 strong workforce through its apprenticeship scheme \u2013 whether they are just starting out in the world of work or looking for a change of career.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

A total of eight apprenticeships are now available across the business, in areas including customer experience, performance, service planning, safety, corporate communications, retail, resourcing, and business management.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nicola Buckley, People Director at TransPennine Express, said: \u201cWe are looking for talented and passionate candidates from all types of backgrounds to join our team. Apprenticeships are a great way for either a young person to start their career at TPE, or for a more experienced candidate to try a new route.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Those who are successful in their application will spend two years gaining experience in their chosen area, whilst working with experts in the field. They\u2019ll also explore other departments within the business, earning a wealth of experience and being able to see what it takes to keep the North and Scotland on the move.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jake Shore, Planning Apprentice at TransPennine Express said: \u201cTPE is a fantastic company to work for with not only a great work-life balance, but also having terrific colleagues where everyone is very friendly and always happy to help with anything.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe apprenticeship programme is fantastic because it allows us to gain the practical workplace skills as well as getting a recognised qualification \u2013 all while earning money, which is even better. As well as that, we are able to go on rotations throughout the business which allow us to experience other departments, learn new skills and meet new people.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last year the equivalent of nine out of 10 apprentices obtained a full-time position within TPE upon completion of their qualification.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
