A commuter train hit a car at a railway crossing in Woy Woy, on the NSW<\/a> Central Coast about 6pm last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remarkably, there were no injuries with the driver believed to have jumped out of the car just in time and passengers on the train uninjured in the collision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Footage, shared on social media, showed the train hitting the car at high speed and the vehicle being pushed some distance along the rail tracks, shocking onlookers.<\/p>\n\n\n

It’s believed an international driver was behind the wheel and had made a wrong turn on the railway crossing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They then abandoned the car as the train approached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident resulted in delays during peak hour, as buses were brought in to replace trains along that stretch, as rail workers came in to clear the tracks.\ufeff<\/p>\n\n\n
