One of Auckland\u2019s main bus services will soon be\u00a0running an entirely electric, double-decker, fleet. As well as the WX1 route, the buses will work along the 11T\/11W and 120 others.<\/p>\n
According to Auckland Transport, 20 new buses will be cruising around West Auckland as part of the WX1 service as part of a new multi-million dollar deal.<\/p>\n
The $166 million contract has just been signed between Auckland Transport and bus operator Tranzit Group.<\/p>\n
Across the nine-year contract, 40 electric buses will take to the streets of Auckland arriving by April 2025.<\/p>\n
