{"id":28657,"date":"2024-04-18T20:38:01","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T10:38:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=28657"},"modified":"2024-04-18T20:38:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-18T10:38:01","slug":"the-severn-valley-railway-reveals-a-gleaming-stanier-mogul-ready-for-the-spring-steam-gala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=28657","title":{"rendered":"The Severn Valley Railway reveals a gleaming Stanier Mogul, ready for the Spring Steam Gala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/svr.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Severn Valley Railway (SVR)<\/a> allowed a sneak preview of Stanier Mogul 13268 for the cameras, as it was briefly rolled out of the paint shop at Bridgnorth, just days ahead of the forthcoming Spring Steam Gala (which started on Thursday).<\/p>\n<p>Since its overhaul was completed earlier this year, the locomotive has been receiving its new livery. Hand-applied lettering and lining, as well as many sheets of gold leaf, have given it an impressive and authentic finish.<\/p>\n<p>The sole survivor of its class, LMS 13268 is once again carrying the number and livery it had in 1934 when it first entered service.
