The Border Rail Action Group has called for the introduction of extra carriages on north-east line trains to address overcrowding concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Albury\/Wodonga service has been plagued by service issues ever since the inferior Vlocity trains have been introduced. Residents have complained about poor service for years on the line but complaints have fallen on deaf ears at V\/Line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
V\/Line Management are acutely aware of the poor service Vlocity trains provide the travelling public on longer haul trains but have continued to continued to replace rolling stock built for longer distance journey’s with poorly designed and outdated Vlocity trains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Former services between Melbourne and Albury were provided by locomotive hauled longer distance coaches built for comfort with onboard services. Being carriages additional capacity could be added if needed this is not possible with the Vlocity trains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
