Footage of the Polish CEO ripping the cap out of the boy&#8217;s hand went viral over the weekend, as did tone-deaf statements attributed to Szczerek that he says were fake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The man who stole a hat from a kid at the U.S. Open has finally released a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video height=\"852\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 480 \/ 852;\" width=\"480\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/49_mOuvZUiqDG7vw.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in August, a video went viral of a man snatching a tennis player&#8217;s hat out of a young fan&#8217;s hands. The man, who has since been identified as a Polish CEO, snatched an autographed hat from men&#8217;s tennis player Kamil Majchrzak out of a young fan&#8217;s hands.
