The<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/zeppelin\/\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Zeppelins<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and other massive<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/infamous-airship-disasters-list\/\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">airships of the 1920s and 1930s are infamous for their dramatic disasters<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. The Hindenburg disaster of 1937 made it seem like the lid had closed on<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/airship\/\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">airships<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">for good. But not so fast. Airships never entirely disappeared and have been used for tourist flights, intelligence gathering, and other functions. If hurdles can be overcome, they could be transformative in transporting heavy and bulky cargo worldwide.
