\nAt the height of the space race in the late 1970s, the Viking probes successfully landed on Mars \u2013 collecting pictures, data, and samples from the red planet.<\/p>\n

It was so successful that Soviet scientists wanted their shot at glory. But their focus wasn\u2019t on Mars. It was on its moon, Phobos; named after the Greek God of fear.<\/p>\n

After all, if NASA could land on Mars, landing on one of its moons should be easy, right?<\/p>\n

Well, it turns out Mars\u2019 largest moon was right to be named after the Greek God of fear.<\/p>\n

Because as barren as the landscape looks, as impossible as it is to live there… something does.<\/p>\n

And that something, doesn\u2019t want to be seen.<\/p>\n
