A fourth track will be added on a 9-kilometre section between Pszcz\u00f3\u0142ki and Pruszcz Gda\u0144ski, near the Polish port of Gda\u0144sk. The new infrastructure will fully separate freight and passenger traffic and increase rail capacity to and from the Baltic Hub terminal.<\/strong>

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2028 and be completed by 2030, with the tender phase expected in the coming weeks, the Gda\u0144sk Port Authority said. The total investment for the project is estimated at around \u20ac47m (PLN 200m). The fourth track will be dedicated exclusively to freight traffic to and from the port, particularly serving the Baltic Hub and the refinery.<\/p>\n

The past few months have seen positive developments for Poland\u2019s largest port. Alongside the planned fourth track, the brand-new T3 terminal at Baltic Hub was inaugurated in June<\/a>, raising capacity from 3 to 4.5m TEU per year. The port closed the first half of 2025 with strong results<\/a> in both cargo throughput and financial performance.<\/p>\n
