ScotRail saw its busiest week of 2025 so far with almost two million people travelling by rail \u2013 largely thanks to Oasis at Murrayfield and the Edinburgh Festivals. <\/p>\n

Around 328,000 people travelled with ScotRail last Friday (8 August) \u2013 up 19 per cent compared with the same day last year \u2013 and 327,000 on Saturday, up 12 per cent on 2024. Those are the busiest days on the ScotRail network since 14 December 2024, traditionally the weekend when most Christmas parties and nights-out take place. <\/p>\n

The last of the Oasis concerts on Tuesday delivered another boost, and it means for the week from Friday, 8 August, 1,995,000 people travelled on ScotRail services.  <\/p>\n

ScotRail laid on more services and seats for fans travelling to Murrayfield to watch the first Oasis gig in Scotland in many years, with extra also in place for Tuesday\u2019s gig. <\/p>\n

Frontline staff got into the spirit of things by donning special Oasis themed bucket hats and posing for photos with customers.  <\/p>\n

The major events continue with rock superstars AC\/DC playing at Murrayfield next week (Thursday, 21 August), and again extra services and more seats have been added.  <\/p>\n

David Ross, ScotRail Chief Operating Officer, said: <\/strong><\/p>\n
