Purpose-built for sovereign AI, HPC, advanced manufacturing and deep tech, the&nbsp;campus strengthens Australia&#8217;s competitive edge across the Five Eyes and positions Victoria as a&nbsp;national digital infrastructure hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t just a data centre \u2014 it\u2019s critical infrastructure for Australia\u2019s AI future,\u201d said Craig&nbsp;Scroggie, CEO and Managing Director NEXTDC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located on the former Westgate Park Printing Complex, once home to the nation\u2019s largest&nbsp;newspaper presses, M4 marks the shift from printing stories to producing intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Built for the AI Era<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><\/strong>NEXTDC\u2019s Fishermans Bend campus brings together three core facilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AI Factory:<\/strong>&nbsp;A hyper-dense, liquid-cooled facility engineered for sovereign AI. Designed to&nbsp;<br>support NVIDIA\u2019s Blackwell and Rubin Ultra architectures, it will deliver rack densities&nbsp;<br>beyond 1,000kW \u2014 enabling model training, inference, and frontier AI workloads at scale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mission Critical Operations Centre (MCX):<\/strong>&nbsp;A sovereign-grade, always-on control centre&nbsp;<br>housed within Tier IV infrastructure. MCX provides secure, fault-tolerant environments for&nbsp;<br>high-stakes digital operations \u2014 from defence to enterprise and government \u2014 where&nbsp;<br>uptime and trust are non-negotiable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technology Centre of Excellence<\/strong>: A national hub for AI skills, R&amp;D, and innovation. The campus will be a national platform for secure cloud,&nbsp;sovereign AI, and mission-critical digital workloads \u2014 enabling Australia to grow its AI economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Hon.
