On the evening of August 15th, speculation across social media stated a Metro Train had derailed near or about Macauley Railway Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Very little has been said but the attached image from Twitter illustrates the shutdown of the Upfield line between Melbourne and Coburg. (why it would need to be shut for such a long length is not certain but probably due to Metro Trains cutbacks on infrastructure)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is believed the train derailed on a set of points leading to the light repair centre a metro facility in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n
