margin:0 0 10px 10px;\"><figcaption>Images\/Inland Rail<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>In his first public speech as Chief Executive Officer of Inland Rail, Nick Miller has told the Australasian Railway Association Rail Freight Conference in Sydney that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/inland-rail-works-set-to-ramp-up-with-major-possession\/\">Inland Rail<\/a> is on track to deliver strong progress in 2024, as it seeks to complete the Beveridge to Parkes sections by 2027, in line with the recommendations of the independent review into Inland Rail.<\/strong><span id=\"more-115892\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Having recently completed successful possession works on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/victoria-track-possession-progress-march-2024\/\">Beveridge to Albury project in Victoria<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/stockinbingal-to-parkes-progress-during-super-possession-march-2024\/\">Stockinbingal to Parkes section in New South Wales<\/a>, Miller told conference delegates that Inland Rail was making strong progress towards to completing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/beveridge-to-albury\/\">Beveridge to Parkes<\/a>\u00a0sections by 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Miller said Inland Rail environmental approvals in New South Wales were also progressing well, with the New South Wales government in the final stages of the approvals process for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/albury-to-illabo\/\">Albury to Illabo<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/illabo-to-stockinbingal\/\">Illabo to Stockinbingal<\/a>\u00a0sections in southern New South Wales with the Australian Government having approved the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.artc.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/narromine-to-narrabri\/\">Narromine to Narrabri<\/a> section in February.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInland Rail is one of the biggest infrastructure projects ever undertaken by the Australian Government, it is a critical part of the transport supply chain and the economic development of Australia and is needed to keep pace with the freight demands of our growing population,&#8221;
