{"id":266197,"date":"2025-08-13T20:42:34","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T10:42:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=266197"},"modified":"2025-12-22T17:31:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T07:31:28","slug":"bill-clinton-prime-suspect-in-epstein-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=266197","title":{"rendered":"Bill Clinton \u2018prime suspect\u2019 in Epstein investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) on Monday said former President Clinton\u2019s alleged&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/epstein-birthday-book-included-note-134511477.html\">ties to<\/a>&nbsp;convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein should be uncovered during his testimony before members of Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEverybody in America wants to know what went on in Epstein Island, and we\u2019ve all heard reports that Bill Clinton was a frequent visitor there, so he\u2019s a prime suspect to be deposed by the House Oversight Committee,\u201d Comer said Monday during an interview on Newsmax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo, hopefully we\u2019ll win that court battle with that subpoena and see President Clinton in October,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/house-gop-subpoenas-doj-clintons-150001612.html\">subpoenaed Clinton<\/a>&nbsp;and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, on Aug. 5 to give testimony in the House GOP\u2019s probe of matters surrounding Epstein, the disgraced financier who died by suicide in 2019.
