POLAND\u2019s national operator PKP Intercity has awarded a Zlotys 2.3bn ($US 575.7m) contract to Newag for the purchase of 63 multi-system electric locomotives, with an option to procure another 32 units and maintenance for five years.<\/p>\n
The Bo-Bo locomotives will be able to operate on lines electrified at 3kV dc, 15kV 16.7Hz and 25kV ac. They will have a maximum speed of 200km\/h.<\/p>\n
