Increased cost of compliance were also mentioned as a factor, including Brexit.<\/p>\n<p>Although no official closing date has yet been announced, Hattons has launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hattons.co.uk\/newsdetail?id=1499\">closing down sale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The business has also put together a page of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hattons.co.uk\/newsdetail?id=1498\">FAQs<\/a> for customers with questions, including regarding pre-orders.<\/p>\n<p>Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hattonsmodelrailways\/posts\/pfbid02KokL3MA1ag3YRVEgdvMeEny1v4uq3FuzinsbBXCX5A4kvhnBDWheZABWKQPQFxDHl\">announcement of the closure on Hattons Model Railways\u2019 Facebook page<\/a>, customers and enthusiasts shared their sadness and memories in the comments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBig loss for the modeling world, Best of luck to everyone x\u201d said Warren Allmark.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Whatley said \u201cHow very sad for the model industry, but most of all for the staff affected. I\u2019ve dipped in and out of model railways over the past 50+ years, but Hattons have always been there. I guess we all thought you always would be.
