This marked the first time the one-of-a-kind experimental aircraft\u202fhas ever moved\u202funder its own power.\u202f<\/p>\n

During the\u202ftest, engineers and flight crews monitored the X-59 as it moved across the runway, working to validate critical systems like steering and braking.\u202fThe taxiing represents the start of the X-59\u2019s final series of ground tests before first flight.\u202f<\/p>\n
