Works have been progressing well on site, as crews work to remove three level crossings at McGregor Road<\/a>,\u00a0Main Street<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Racecourse Road<\/a>\u00a0and build new stations at Pakenham and East Pakenham<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The fit out of both stations continues, with station signage and seating installed recently on the platforms at Pakenham Station and 80 solar panels added to the roof.<\/p>\n

Crews are also working on both station concourses and the underpass at East Pakenham Station is nearly complete.<\/p>\n

At the Pakenham Station car park, crews are installing kerbs, and getting ready to place asphalt later this month.<\/p>\n

The concrete piers under the elevated rail line have been painted a vibrant bright blue to indicate the active areas in the open space; the exercise area, the playground, and the basketball court.<\/p>\n

The level crossings at Main Street, McGregor Road and Racecourse Road in Pakenham are three of 22 crossings being removed on the Pakenham Line, which will be level crossing free next year.<\/p>\n

This year the three level crossings will be gone, and new stations open at Pakenham and East Pakenham, as well as 6 MCGs worth of community open space created for locals to enjoy.<\/p>\n

Across Melbourne, we\u2019re removing 110 level crossings by 2030, with 75 gone for good, boosting safety and easing congestion.<\/p>\n
