Private rail freight wagon hire company VTG Rail UK has appointed Matt Hannant as its head of sales and marketing. Matt takes over the role from Marc Hurn, who was promoted to become the company\u2019s managing director in April.<\/p>\n

Matt joins VTG from previous sales and marketing director roles in the water and lighting sectors.<\/p>\n

Matt, 43, said: \u201cI was attracted to VTG as they have a great reputation for being a successful, forward-thinking business and also as a good company to work for. I\u2019m excited about VTG\u2019s current market position in terms of providing high quality, its strong focus on service delivery and on product development, which will ensure its successful long-term future.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m joining a winning team and I\u2019m looking to add value, continually support the company and to bring close communication across all departments. I have stepped in to lead a young and talented team and there are real opportunities for me to share my knowledge, learn new skills and become part of a hugely successful sales and marketing department.\u201d<\/p>\n
