Thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/iranian-aviation-sanctions-analysis\/\">the impact of sanctions on Iranian aviation<\/a>, Iran is unable to purchase new aircraft and will likely be compelled to keep these aircraft flying for years to come. Production ended when Fokker went bankrupt in 1997.
