{"id":2372,"date":"2024-01-15T16:48:34","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T06:48:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=2372"},"modified":"2024-01-15T16:48:36","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T06:48:36","slug":"young-man-dies-at-north-adelaide-railway-pedestrian-crossing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=2372","title":{"rendered":"Young man dies at North Adelaide railway pedestrian crossing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A 19-year-old man who was hit by a train at a North Adelaide pedestrian crossing died at the scene, police have confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emergency services were called to<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>War Memorial Drive about 1pm, following what police described as a &#8220;serious crash&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police later confirmed the man died at the scene, and have since said they believe there were no suspicious circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They said a report was now being prepared for the coroner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passengers on the Gawler-bound train were helped off the railcar as emergency services gathered at the scene a short distance away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Road restrictions were in place and train services were interrupted, with substitute buses running between&nbsp;Adelaide Railway Station&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mawson Lakes along the Gawler line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police said the railway line had since reopened.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 19-year-old man who was hit by a train at a North Adelaide pedestrian crossing died at the scene, police have confirmed.
