The port of Gdansk can now handle the world\u2019s largest container vessels after the inauguration of the new T3 terminal in the Baltic Hub. Once fully operational, the facility will increase Baltic Hub\u2019s capacity from three to 4,5 million TEUs every year, and rail should help move a good chunk of them.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>With an investment of 470 million euros, the T3 terminal is equipped with a 717-metre quay with 17.5 metres in depth, 20 RMG cranes and seven STS cranes. For now, only container handling operations will be carried out, as full operations are not expected for October. \u201cThis milestone not only drives the economic development of Pomerania and Poland, but also reinforces the country\u2019s position as a strategic player in international trade\u201d, said Jan Van Mossevelde, CEO of Baltic Hub.<\/p>\n
