{"id":225013,"date":"2025-05-27T19:24:17","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T09:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/railuk.com\/?p=177992"},"modified":"2025-05-27T19:24:17","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T09:24:17","slug":"emr-rail-replacement-buses-to-operate-during-lincolnshire-level-crossing-upgrades","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=225013","title":{"rendered":"EMR rail replacement buses to operate during Lincolnshire level crossing upgrades"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/railuk.com\/rail-news\/emr-rail-replacement-buses-to-operate-during-lincolnshire-level-crossing-upgrades\/\" title=\"EMR rail replacement buses to operate during Lincolnshire level crossing upgrades\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"485\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.railuk.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/27102421\/EMR-Hitachi-train-EMR-485x360.jpg\" class=\"webfeedsFeaturedVisual wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" style=\"display: block; margin-bottom: 5px; clear:both;max-width: 100%;\" link_thumbnail=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.railuk.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/27102421\/EMR-Hitachi-train-EMR-485x360.jpg 485w, https:\/\/cdn.railuk.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/27102421\/EMR-Hitachi-train-EMR-80x60.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 485px) 100vw, 485px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>East Midlands Railway (EMR) customers are being advised of changes to services and the introduction of rail replacement buses in parts of Lincolnshire, starting on Saturday 31 May until Sunday, 8 June.<\/p>\n<p>The work, which forms part of a nearly \u00a31 million investment by Network Rail, will see the crucial upgrade of four level crossings in Lincolnshire: Holton le Moor, Brigg, Butterswood, and Little London.<\/p>\n<p>To allow these improvements to take place safely, buses will replace trains between Cleethorpes and Barnetby during the works.<\/p>\n<p>Customers travelling between Leicester and Cleethorpes or Cleethorpes and Barton-upon-Humber are urged to check their journey in advance and allow extra time.<\/p>\n<p>Changes to EMR services from Saturday, 31 May and Sunday, 8 June:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leicester \u2013 Grimsby\/Cleethorpes services will terminate at Lincoln, with rail replacement buses operating beyond Lincoln.<\/li>\n<li>No trains will operate between Cleethorpes and Barton-upon-Humber. A replacement bus service will serve all stations along this route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Philippa Cresswell, customer experience director at East Midlands Railway, said: &#8220;We appreciate that changes to journeys can be inconvenient, and we&#8217;re working closely with Network Rail to keep customers moving whilst these level crossing upgrades are taking place.
