Just 1.6% of Victoria’s dilapidated regional road network will receive maintenance work in the next financial year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacinta Allan believes 98.4% of Victoria’s regional roads are in pristine condition, but her minister for roads, ports and freight Melissa Horne, tells the public heavy vehicles are causing significant road damage in Victoria and are the cause of the potholes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no plan to increase rail freight in Victoria from the historic lows being experienced now. The much announced Port Rail Shuttles are years behind having been announced in 2017<\/a> and not delivered by Freight Victoria.<\/p>\n\n\n

Freight Victoria have a vested and unhealthy interest in promoting road freight over rail freight. This will of course lead to further road damage and increased deaths on Victorian Roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
