That means far-reaching measures to improve the company\u2019s business health. As part of those measures, PKP Cargo is now looking to leave S\u0142awk\u00f3w and Medyka terminals by selling its shares.<\/strong><br \/>\n<span id=\"more-62543\"><\/span>PKP Cargo is looking to sell its shares in the company Terminale Prze\u0142adunkowe S\u0142awk\u00f3w\u2013Medyka as well as Euroterminal S\u0142awk\u00f3w. The company\u2019s subsidiary, PKP Cargo Connect, holds 21,407 shares in S\u0142awk\u00f3w\u2013Medyka, representing 50% of its capital, with a nominal value of 21,407 million z\u0142oty (five million euros).<\/p>\n<p>As for the Euroterminal S\u0142awk\u00f3w, PKP Cargo currently owns a 9.31% stake there, with a value of 17 million z\u0142oty (4 million euros). The rail operator\u2019s management board has already approved preparatory actions for the sale.<\/p>\n<div style=\"border: 1px solid #004a99; background: #eaf3fb; border-radius: 4px; padding: 12px 15px; margin: 20px 0;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; margin: 0 0 10px 0;\">Terminale Prze\u0142adunkowe S\u0142awk\u00f3w \u2013 Medyka<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin: 0 0 12px 0; padding-left: 20px; list-style-type: disc; list-style-position: outside;\">\n<li>Operating since 2005<\/li>\n<li>Terminals in:\n<ul style=\"margin: 4px 0 4px 20px; list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Medyka (near Przemy\u015bl, Ukrainian border)<\/li>\n<li>S\u0142awk\u00f3w (Silesia)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>S\u0142awk\u00f3w terminal is the westernmost point of the broad-gauge railway (400 kilometres from the Ukrainian border)<\/li>\n<li>Located near the intersection of the Pan-European Transport Corridors East-West and North-South<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; margin: 15px 0 10px 0;\">Euroterminal S\u0142awk\u00f3w<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin: 0; padding-left: 20px; list-style-type: disc; list-style-position: outside;\">\n<li>Operating since 2010<\/li>\n<li>Located adjacent to the S\u0142awk\u00f3w terminal<\/li>\n<li>Also benefits from proximity to major East-West and North-South corridors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Simplification<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe above undertaking [sale of shares] is an element of broader actions of the Issuer&#8217;s Management Board aimed at optimising the structure of the Capital Group and its resources in terms of current activities and business challenges, primarily its simplification, which will allow for effective handling of complex transport projects\u201d, an announcement by PKP Cargo says.<\/p>\n<p>PKP Cargo, Poland\u2019s largest and state-owned rail freight operator, maintains a broad network of terminal assets across the country, with both full and partial ownership stakes.
