Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 23-24 March, as essential Rail Repair Plan<\/a> trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Across the weekend, buses will replace trains on the T3 Bankstown Line between Cabramatta, Lidcombe and Sydenham for work on the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project as well as maintenance work.<\/p>\n

Buses will also replace trains on the T3 Bankstown Line between Lidcombe and Sydenham from 9pm Friday to 1.20am Saturday.<\/p>\n

The T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line will see buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland on both Saturday and Sunday as part of\u00a0Sydney Trains project work.<\/p>\n

On Saturday only, buses will also replace trains from 11.30pm to 2.20am, between Waterfall and Hurstville.<\/p>\n

For those travelling to the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, for the Easter Show between 22 March and 2 April 2024, more information can be found\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sydney Trains will have around 751 workers undertaking a significant amount of work over this period including ballast cleaning, track reconditioning, signal upgrade, bridge refurbishment, rail grinding and overhead wire renewal as we remove 6 high-priority defects.<\/p>\n

Some trains may run to changed stopping pattern and timetable. Passengers may need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead by visiting\u00a0transportnsw.info<\/a>\u00a0or using trip planning apps.<\/p>\n

Intercity<\/strong><\/p>\n

Across the weekend,\u00a0buses will replace trains between Port Kembla, Dapto and Wollongong on both Saturday and Sunday on the South Coast Line. From 1.40am to 10am on both Saturday and Sunday buses will also replace trains between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, from 11.30pm to 2.20am buses will also replace trains between Waterfall and Hurstville. On Saturday\u00a0buses replace trains from 4.40am to 4pm, between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown on\u00a0the Southern Highlands Line.<\/p>\n

Metro<\/strong><\/p>\n

On both Saturday and Sunday, buses will replace Metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood on the Metro North West Line due to planned trackwork and testing for the upcoming metro extension into the Sydney CBD.<\/p>\n
