There are no footpaths along the road, but Network Rail staff will assist any pedestrians requiring safe crossing.<\/p>\n<p>The crossing will then be closed again from 5pm on Saturday 7 June to 3pm on Sunday 8 June for teams to complete any outstanding work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brigg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Upgrades will take place at Brigg level crossing from 8pm on Monday 2 June to 7am on Thursday 5 June. A temporary signed footpath across the railway will be in place throughout, safely fenced off from the crucial work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Butterswood<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work will be carried out at Butterswood level crossing from 9am on Saturday 31 May to 12.30pm on Sunday 8 June. Traffic management will be in place throughout the closure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Little London<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Engineering work will be under way at Little London level crossing from 9am on Saturday 31 May to 12.30pm on Sunday 8 June. Traffic management will also be in place for the duration of the closure.<\/p>\n<p>All four crossings involve comprehensive surface renewal work, including replacement of deck units, cill beams (the interface between tarmac and railway), tarmac and road markings.<\/p>\n<p>These upgrades \u2013 renewing decades-old features which are now life-expired \u2013 will make future maintenance more efficient and cost-effective.<\/p>\n<p>While the work is ongoing, buses will replace trains between Cleethorpes and Barnetby*. Passengers are being urged to check <a href=\"http:\/\/www.natonalrail.co.uk\/\">www.natonalrail.co.uk<\/a> before they travel.<\/p>\n<p>Road diversion routes will be in place and clearly signposted throughout the closure periods.<\/p>\n<p>Robin Stevens, asset engineer for Network Rail, said: &#8220;We understand that level crossing closures cause disruption and we thank the local community for their patience while we carry out these essential upgrades.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis significant investment will deliver more reliable infrastructure, requiring less frequent maintenance in the future and helping to keep both road and rail users safe.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Philippa Cresswell, customer experience director for East Midlands Railway, commented: \u201cWe recommend customers planning to travel between Leicester-Cleethorpes between Saturday 31 May and Sunday 8 June to check their journey in advance of travelling.
