The PM has rejected assertions that Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong believes a Voice to Parliament is \u201cinevitable\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe didn\u2019t say that at all,\u201d Mr Albanese told ABC Melbourne, following Senator Wong\u2019s comments on the Betoota Talks podcast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think it was a very modest proposal, but it didn\u2019t receive the support of the Australian people. (Senator Wong) spoke about how people will look back on what the issues were. That\u2019s very different from saying it\u2019s inevitable. She did not say that all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the podcast, Senator Wong likened the Voice to same-sex marriage in that Australians would one day be incredulous there was ever an argument about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
