However, such concerns were conspicuously absent in the evaluation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intercity.pl\/en\/\">PKP Intercity\u2019s<\/a> identical application, suggesting different treatment depending on the operator<strong>.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/utk.gov.pl\/en\">UTK<\/a> wears tinted glasses, seeing a new entrant\u2019s yellow trains as a menace to subsidised trains, while the state-owned operator\u2019s blue ones get a free pass, despite offering identical services.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This discriminatory treatment not only exposes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/utk.gov.pl\/en\">UTK\u2019s<\/a> double standards yet again but also highlights a protectionist stance that will keep the Polish rail market closed.
