{"id":19966,"date":"2024-03-14T17:38:46","date_gmt":"2024-03-14T07:38:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=19966"},"modified":"2024-03-14T17:38:46","modified_gmt":"2024-03-14T07:38:46","slug":"transpennine-express-offers-free-period-products-to-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=19966","title":{"rendered":"TransPennine Express offers free period products to employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Train operator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpexpress.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TransPennine Express (TPE)<\/a> is now providing free period products for employees in mess rooms, offices, and depots.<\/p>\n<p>The products are environmentally friendly disposables and will be stocked in both men\u2019s and women\u2019s staff toilets across the TransPennine Express network.<\/p>\n<p>Nicola Buckley, People Director at TPE, commented: \u201cWe want to make sure that every colleague that menstruates has easy access to the products they require, and we are proud to be one of the first train operators to do this.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is another positive step in making TPE a fantastic place to work and increase and increase education around period health, to eliminate shame and stigma.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, a WaterAid survey revealed that menstrual taboos still dominate the lives of working women across the UK. 85 per cent of those surveyed reported that they experience stress or anxiety when managing their periods at work.<\/p>\n<p>Free period products were among the actions that respondents felt employers should take to help them manage their periods.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Train operator TransPennine Express (TPE) is now providing free period products for employees in mess rooms, offices, and depots.
