Google<br \/>\n6. Spotify<\/p>\n<p>2. Snapchat<br \/>\n7. X (formerly Twitter)<\/p>\n<p>3. Whatsapp<br \/>\n8. Facebook<\/p>\n<p>4. Instagram<br \/>\n9. iTunes<\/p>\n<p>5. TikTok<br \/>\n10. Gmail<\/p>\n<p>Mark Powles, commercial and customer director at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northernrailway.co.uk\/\">Northern<\/a>, said: \u201cOne of the benefits of letting the train take the strain is that you\u2019re free to relax and enjoy the journey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear our customers use the time on-board to keep in touch with friends via social media and other messaging apps as well as relax and listen to music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor those using the train to commute to work, the average journey time is 25 minutes in each direction \u2013 that\u2019s 50 minutes a day they can use in a way that suits them rather than sitting in traffic behind the wheel of a car.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northernrailway.co.uk\/\">Northern<\/a> has a long-running campaign to encourage people to convert their commute from road to rail.
