Stretching more than 8,500km, the network spans five states \u2013 Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also a government-owned corporation, National Intermodal is an independent developer of critical logistics infrastructure for the east coast of Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new&nbsp;board members are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingilby Dickson<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 following roles at Sadleirs Transport Group, Ron Finemore Transport and the Australian Logistics Council, Dickson will provide the ARTC with expertise in freight, supply chain, rail and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Janet Finlay<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 having held roles across multiple sectors as well as government \u2013 including as the deputy chancellor of Adelaide&nbsp;University, director of the SA Water Corporation and deputy&nbsp;chair of the State Planning Commission of South&nbsp;Australia \u2013 Finlay brings her experience as a chartered accountant to the ARTC board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Michael Carter<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 with a strong construction background and experience in rail operations \u2013 including at Queensland Rail \u2013 Carter brings a strong understanding of large project management and his appointment to both the ARTC and National Intermodal boards will support continued collaboration between the two companies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jill Rossouw<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 the current chair of the High&nbsp;Speed Rail Authority, Rossouw brings to the ARTC experience in project finance, infrastructure investments and complex financial structuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr Marlene Kanga&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 brings extensive board director experience to the ARTC, previous appointments cover various government entities \u2013 including Endeavour Energy, the Sydney Water Corporation, Innovation Australia, and Airservices Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Janice van Reyk<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 brings to National Intermodal significant board experience and understanding of intermodals through roles at NSW&nbsp;Ports, Port of Melbourne\/Ports Victoria, and the Australian Naval Infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Michael Byrne<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 an existing director of National Intermodal, Bryne has experience in the ports, logistics and supply chain sectors, as well as board roles with the CBH Group and Peel Ports UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanking the outgoing non-executive directors of both ARTC and National Intermodal for their service, Infrastructure Minister Catherine King said: \u201cThe appointments will provide the boards with important skills and ensure the long-term success of the organisations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welcoming the new appointments, Finance Minister Katy Gallagher said she was confident they will be assets to both companies \u201cin delivering on the government\u2019s objectives of transforming Australia\u2019s future supply chains\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a crucial time for ARTC and National Intermodal,\u201d she added, \u201cand having the right leadership teams in place will
