A new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=167661\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Avalon to open new freight facility in 2025\">freight facility is due to open in 2025<\/a> creating more truck movements into and out of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=178978\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Geelong workers quitting their jobs over a lack of public transport to Avalon Airport precinct\">jobs being created in the Avalon area<\/a> especially defence manufacturing workers cannot access public transport to get to their jobs and this proposal is not what is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tim Pallas the failed former Treasurer of Victoria was never serious about a rail line into Avalon logistics and airport merely using the threat of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=38796\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Victorian government threatens Avalon Airport rail could replace stalled Melbourne Airport line\">investing into an Avalon Airport rail line<\/a>, desperately required, in an attempt to negotiate with Melbourne Airport.
