beneath central Auckland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last night, rail inspectors completed five trial journeys for the new trains, marking a positive milestone in Auckland\u2019s rail development, which is set to open next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mayor Wayne Brown says the first three-carry train moved at five kilometers per hour, allowing inspectors to assess its size and the electrical power supply needed to run through the new tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rail line stretches nearly four kilometers from Waitemat\u0101 [formerly Britomart] to Maungawhau [Mount Eden], passing through two new stations, Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Auckland mayor sees great
